Unlike a traditional wooden frame our Eco Lumber is extremely durable and will not rot, warp or split in wet/humid conditions. It is totally maintenance free and requires no treatments or protective coatings and can even be built directly into the ground due to its waterproof nature.

What is eco lumber?

What should I use to cut the Eco lumber?

We recommend using a sliding electric mitre saw circular saw with a minimum of a 40 tooth alternate top bevel finish blade.

What expansion gap should I leave when using Eco Lumber?

When using Eco lumber, in areas where joist ends meet a cross beam or frame you should leave a minimum of a 10mm expansion gap.

Where Joists butt up end to end you should have a minimum 20mm expansion gap (end to end).

How often do Eco Lumber Joists (150×50) need to be supported?

The eco lumber joists need to be supported every 1.2m with either a post placed into the ground or a cross beam.

How deep should Eco Lumber Posts (100×100) be planted into the ground?

The Eco Lumber posts need to be cemented into the ground at a minimum depth of 500mm.

How do I fit bolts into the Eco Lumber?

When using Eco lumber, bolt holes should be oversized by 3mm to allow for expansion and contraction.
